Welcome to B-AAS (Asperger's Syndrome Information and Features).

My name is Sam and I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome in 2005.

Asperger's Syndrome is a neurological condition on the autistic spectrum that affects the way a person relates to others. It is characterised by difficulty in social relationships, differences in the way a person experiences and interacts with the world, and a different style of learning and communicating.

I made this site so I could bring together everything I have learnt since my diagnosis so I could share it with other people, and also to help me make sense of it myself.

I am just an ordinary person with no specialist knowledge or qualifications and I share my opinions and interpretations freely. Most of what is written here comes from my own experiences, though I do speak to others and read about this subject widely.

Please be aware that, despite my best efforts, there may be inaccuracies or out of date information here from time to time. In no way does this site constitute medical advice and it should not be considered as a substitute for such.

Please note, this is a non-profit personal site run for the benefit of others and is not a charity or an organisation.

You can help to support the running costs of this site by purchasing from the shop or by purchasing through affiliate links to this site.
